Sunderland Co-operative Inc. has an opportunity in our Agronomy Division.
We are currently seeking a Seasonal Custom Applicator (Sprayer) Operator/Driver based out of our Oakwood location.
Season - Spring 2023
This Seasonal position has full-time opportunity and offers mobility within Sunderland Co-op.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Apply crop protection productswith a high clearance sprayer or floater.
- Apply fertilizer and cropprotection products.
- Work with patrons in a courteousand professional manner.
- Assist the sales staff in ensuringorders are correct and patron needs are met.
- Perform warehouse work includingdriving loaders, forklifts, and trucks.
- Lift & load medium heavy packages (up to 50lbs).
- Pick up and deliver product tocustomers as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work additional hours to meetbusiness demands.
- Follow Sunderland Co-operative Inc., health,safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Activelyparticipate in education and training provided by Sunderland Co-operative Inc
TRAINING PROVIDED:
- Operationof application equipment
- Crop protection product and mixing.
- Health, Safety, Environmental
HEALTH & SAFETY:
- Operateonly equipment and machinery for which training has been received.
- Reportany equipment malfunctions immediately to the Supervisor
- Wearpersonal protective equipment as approved
- Complywith all Company Health and Safety Policies
- Demonstratea high degree of safety consciousness
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (required):
- High school diploma (minimum)
- Ability to lift/carry medium toheavy packages (up to 50 lbs)
- Minimum G License
- Ability to read, write, andcommunicate in English
- Ability and willingness to workadditional hours to meet business demands
- Ability and willingness to work industy, warm, cold environment
- Ability to work well as part of ateam
- Accuracy and attention to details
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (desired): - Experience operating a cropsprayer
- Experience operating heavyequipment
- Basic understanding ofagricultural chemicals
- DZLicense
- Forklift certification
- Farming background
